Established under the direction of the late Dr. Walter Clore, Father of the Washington Wine Industry, and visionary owner Arvid Monson, Goose Ridge Estate Vineyard observed its first harvest in 1999. Guided by the belief that great wines begin in the vineyard, all our grapes are estate grown in Eastern Washington's sun-drenched Columbia Valley. Sheltered from Seattle’s maritime climate by the towering Cascade Mountain Range, our 1,900 acre vineyard receives less than 8 inches of rainfall annually. It is a gently sloped, south-facing site adjacent to Red Mountain. Long, warm summer days and cool nights produce grapes noted for their ripe, rich character.
Committed to sound viticultural practices, all vines are planted on original rootstock. South to North row orientation for maximum solar exposure, drip irrigation, managed crop loads, and canopy adjustments consistently yield fruit of exceptional character and complexity.
